Pastor Azemhe Pays CS Medical Bill for Benin Mother, Urges Nigerians to Support the Needy

Founder and General Overseer of Turning Point Gospel Centre International (TPGCI), Pastor (Dr.) Azemhe Azena, has paid the medical bill of a woman who delivered a baby boy through a Caesarean section at Faith Mediplex, Benin City, enabling the mother and child to return home after they had been unable to settle the hospital charges.

Speaking on the intervention, Dr. Azemhe said he was in Abuja when he felt led by God to assist a woman who had undergone a Caesarean section and was unable to leave the hospital due to financial difficulties.

According to him, he later received information that a woman who had successfully delivered her baby through a Caesarean section remained in the hospital despite being medically fit for discharge because her family was unable to pay the outstanding medical expenses.

“I contacted a doctor I know at the hospital to verify the situation, and after confirming it and obtaining details of the bill, I decided to settle the payment so that the woman and her baby could return home,” he said.

The cleric and philanthropist noted that seeing the joy and relief on the faces of the woman and her husband gave him a sense of fulfilment.

He used the opportunity to call on Nigerians, particularly those blessed with resources, to extend support to people facing difficult situations.

“When God blesses you, it is for you to become a blessing to others. Wealth is meant to impact lives and bring hope to people around us. Assistance may come in different forms and sizes, but every genuine act of kindness matters,” he said.

Dr. Azemhe further stated that philanthropy and humanitarian service have remained part of his mission, especially when he feels inspired to intervene in situations affecting vulnerable individuals.

He also offered prayers for the newborn baby and the family.

Expressing gratitude for the gesture, Mr. and Mrs. Goodluck James Uchechukwu thanked Dr. Azemhe for offsetting the medical bill and prayed for God’s continued blessings upon him.

The intervention has been described by observers as a timely act of compassion at a period when many families are struggling with economic challenges and rising healthcare costs.

Ologbo Traditional Leadership: Chief Iyase Rejects Purported Installation of Olare-Aja

By Elvis Omoregie  The Okao Nore-Guae overseeing Ologbo, Ehor and Okhuoromi communities in Edo State, Chief Emma Iyase, has warned against what he described as efforts to establish a parallel traditional authority in Ologbo, rejecting the reported installation of Pa Johnson Obubu Itoto as the Olare-Aja of the community. Speaking on the development, Chief Iyase said the installation, reportedly carried out on May 30, 2026, was unknown to Benin customs and traditions and constituted a violation of the recognized traditional authority structure of the Benin Kingdom.
