Leading Nigerian comedians and entertainers, including I Go Dye and Klint Da Drunk, are expected in Benin City for the forthcoming “Edo To The World” creative talent hunt and cultural showcase aimed at discovering and promoting emerging talents from Edo State.

The initiative, spearheaded by media and events strategist Markus Mckane Okoebor, is being organised by Brotherly Love Entertainment Ltd in partnership with the Edo State Ministry of Arts, Culture and Creative Economy.

Designed as a platform for talent discovery, youth empowerment, and cultural promotion, the project has already generated significant interest within entertainment and creative industry circles, with stakeholders describing it as a strategic initiative capable of strengthening Edo State’s growing creative economy.

According to the organisers, activities lined up for the programme will cut across the state’s 18 local government areas and the three senatorial districts — Edo South, Edo North, and Edo Central — to ensure inclusiveness and grassroots participation.

Speaking on the vision behind the initiative, Markus Mckane said Edo State has consistently produced exceptional talents whose creativity and potential deserve wider exposure and structured support.

He noted that “Edo To The World” goes beyond entertainment, describing it as a movement focused on harnessing creativity and providing young people with opportunities to showcase their talents on national and international stages.

Other entertainers expected at the event include Gandoki, Edo Pikin, MC Awilo, Jaytunes, and Prof. Linkin.

Industry analysts believe the initiative could further position Edo State as a major hub for entertainment, creative talent development, and cultural tourism in Nigeria.

The grand finale of the event is scheduled for Saturday, June 13, 2026, at the Sir Victor Uwaifo Creative Hub along Airport Road, Benin City.
