A new entertainment and cultural initiative aimed at projecting the rich heritage and creative strength of Edo State onto the global stage has been unveiled with the announcement of the maiden edition of “Edo To The World” concert.

Promoters of the event described the concert as a first-of-its-kind entertainment experience in Edo State, promising a world-class production designed to redefine live performances and position the state as a major destination for culture, music and tourism.

With the theme centred on unity, pride and cultural identity, organisers said the initiative goes beyond entertainment, noting that it is intended to showcase Edo’s creative potential, attract investment opportunities and create economic value for youths and businesses within the state.

Speaking on the vision behind the concert, the organisers stated that “Edo To The World” represents a movement aimed at telling the Edo story through music, arts, fashion and cultural expression.

They added that the event would bring together leading entertainers, creatives, entrepreneurs and cultural stakeholders under one platform.

According to the promoters, the concert is expected to deliver an unforgettable experience that reflects the true definition of a modern entertainment festival while celebrating the identity and pride of Edo people across the globe.

They further noted that the initiative aligns with ongoing efforts to expand the entertainment economy in Nigeria and create platforms capable of empowering emerging talents from the South-South region.

“As a people, Edo remains a symbol of culture, excellence and creativity. This concert is an opportunity to showcase our heritage to the world and make history together,” the organisers said.

Industry stakeholders believe the event could open new opportunities for tourism, hospitality, small businesses and creative enterprises in the state if sustained as an annual entertainment brand.

The organisers also hinted that more details regarding performers, venue, partners and event schedule would be unveiled in the coming weeks.

“Edo is our pride, and this is the moment to take our story to the world,” they added.
