Father of fleeing homosexual dies of suspected hypertension

The father of an alleged homosexual who narrowly escaped mob and lynching in Lagos State, Nigeria, has reportedly died of suspected hypertension.
The deceased Siaka Salawu condition reportedly deteriorated after his son, Amodu Kelvin Salawu
who was accused of homosexuality fled to an unknown location for several months now, as said by anonymous within the neighbourhood.
As reported by a source in Salawu's neighbourhood who craved anonymity said: "The man was always anxious about the safety and whereabouts of his son."
His son, Amodu Kelvin Salawu, was reportedly caught in the act of homosexuality in a hotel, sometimes around February 2024.
Sourcenews hinted that a local security outfit popularly known as OPC and traditionalists had once invited Amodu Kelvin Salawu for questioning during their investigation.
It was gathered that upon honouring the invitation, he was mandated to perform rituals or cleansing as the crime committed was against the gods of the land and the community.
His refusal to succumb to the demand was said to have resulted in direct attacks on him and invasion to his family house in an attempt to apprehend him to perform the cleaslnsing, a development which reportedly made him to fled the community for his safety to escape been lynched as well as juggle justice by the community and OPC members after attack.
Amodu's family, source, said they are saddened over their son's disappearance as efforts to reach him ever since have been unsuccessful.
Another source within the neighbourhood, who requested anonymity, added that the matter was later reported to the police who are also in search of him as the crime committed is a punishable offence by the Nigeria constitution.
When asked to describe the fugitive, He said "Amodu is known as Kelvin, very Gentle and calm man, he hardly mingle with people and when the information first broke out, nobody believed it, untill he was invited by the OPC during investigation and he confessed to the act. "The community and the police are still in search of him after almost a year now and have asked anyone with useful information about his whereabouts to report to the nearest police station across the country".
Meanwhile, as at the time of filling this report, all efforts to reach the family members to know the whereabouts of their son proved abortive as no one was ready to speak to the press.
