Edo guber: Asue/Ogie supporter sponsors 10 journalists for Health insurance

Ahead of the September 21 governorship election in Edo State, a strong advocate of the candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Dr. Victoria Amu, has enrolled 10 journalists into the Edo State Healthcare Insurance Scheme.

This initiative is part of the Asue/Ogie Health Initiative Pilot Program, aims to provide quality healthcare to journalists, particularly those from private media organizations without existing health insurance coverage.

The selected journalists, representing various print and electronic media houses, will benefit from comprehensive health coverage, ensuring access to proper medical care when needed. 

This gesture underscores the importance of good health in supporting the well-being and sustainability of journalists as they carry out their duties, especially during the upcoming state governorship election.

The beneficiaries have expressed gratitude to Mrs. Amu's who was a former governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressive Congress (APC) and 
Occupational Therapist Healthcare, a former SSA on Social Mobilization to Comrade Adams Oshiomhole for 7 years.

This Healthcare Insurance Scheme, fully sponsored by Mrs. Amu, promises to provide seamless access to quality healthcare facilities for the enrolled journalists."

The scheme will benefit the journalists  in several ways, such as access to quality health care , reducing financial burden, helping them meet their medical expenses, Increased  awareness about health insurance among journalists, encouraging them to prioritize their health.

Overall, the scheme supports journalists' healthcare and well-being, allowing them to focus on their critical work without worrying about medical expenses.
