ADF Forum calls for unity among Edo North extraction
…Condoles With Those Who Lost Their loved ones In Jattu-Uzairue Market

A group under the aegis of Afemai Descendants Forum, (ADF), a social cultural and non political organisation from the Edo North Senatorial District of Edo State has called on the (6) Local Government under the Edo North extraction to remain united, for the benefit of growth and development of Afemai region of the state.
They made the call during a maiden World press briefing held in Benin city, the state capital.
President of the Forum comrade John Aidenomo Idogho, while briefing newsmen said AFEMAI DESCENDANTS FORUM (ADF), was founded in February 2018 and it comprises (6) local government Area of Edo state, which includes Akoko-Edo, Etsako Central, Etsako East, Etsako West and Own East arnd West.
“Afemai Descendants Forum is a social cultural organisation from the Edo North extraction of Edo State, only poised for the unity, growth and development of Afemai, even as the name implies.
“A non-political movement but with full interest in good governance, quality and exemplary leadership of the state, towards building an egalitarian Edo, and by extension, Afemai region-Edo North.
“Afemai Descendants Forum, as you may already be aware, comprises of the Six (6) Local Government Areas that makes Edo North Senatorial District, with one common goal, one purpose, where fairness, equity and justice thrives.
“One may ask to what end is the Afemai Descendants Forum created? Our objectives are to unify the Afemai people, attract government presence, invest in Edo land and ensure poverty is eradicated from the Afemai region.
“The purpose of this press briefing is to formally make our presence known in preparation toward our grand launch which comes up later this year, 2024.
“Though the Afemai Descendants Forum is apolitical, we wish to unequivocally State that our leaders and politicians in Edo State should upgrade their scale and raise their dirk in terms of building State that the divided of democracy will outlive them.
” As a social culture organisation, we shall at every election virile, as it is already so currently make a demand that all candidates present their manifestos for scrutiny, these will shape our belief and support for parties and their candidates.
“It is our hope that the ADF will play their role as a political watch entity in Edo civil society.
But before we round up, ADF wants to use this opportunity to condone those who lost their lives recently at the Jattu-Uzairue market. May God comfort their families and grant the departed eternal,”Idogho added.
Also, the Vice President, Afemai Descendants Forum, Hon. Stephen Imokhuede, said the forum aimed is to eradicate poverty from the people of the locality.
