Edo CP reacts to the arrest of PDP campaign spokes person Rev. Olu Martins

By Elvis Omoregie

The commissioner of police, Edo State Command CP Funsho Adegboye has clarified the issue surrounding the arrest of the Edo PDP campaign spokes person Rev Olu Martins ahead of the September 21 governorship election.

CP Adegboye made the clarification  during a media chat with journalists at the state command in Benin City.

According to Funsho Adegboye Rev Olu Martins was invited to the command due to some inflammatory statements that were already going viral made by him and he was later charged to court to serve as a deterrent to others.

CP Adegboye used the medium to appeal to all political gladiators in the state to play according to the rules and engage in something that will interest and encourage all the young and educated would-be politicians not something that will create tension in the land or teach people how to be notorious.

He said the command remained unbiased and has created a level play field for all to  operate and also appeal to all not to hit the polity.
