CRPP Chairman accuses Obaseki of taking Okpebholo’s glory on Benin-Ekpoma rehabilitation road

The Chairman, Coalition of Registered Political Parties (CRPP), Edo State Chapter, Dr. Samson Isibor has accused the state governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki of trying to take glory of the candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Monday Okpevbolo's, in the forthcoming governorship election on the going Benin Ekpoma rehabilitation road.
In a press statement made available to Journalists in Benin City, the state capital, Isibor accused the governor of claiming glory where he hasn't.
The CRPP chairman said at their quarterly meeting, they deliberated on the political development in Edo State as well as moving closer to September 2024 Governorship election.
He said during their deliberation, they resolved to put the record straight and throw their support to the person that initiates and influences the ongoing rehabilitation of the Benin Ekpoma road.
" The truth is not far-fetched. We can confirm that Senator Monday Okpebholo alias “Akpakomiza” influenced President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to please come to the aid of his Edo people who have been suffering the effects of some failed portions of the road for the past eight years".
The Governor has never put any palliatives to allow motorists to manage the road especially the trucks coming from the Northern part of the country, that always had to spend days on a particularly bad portion of the road.
Glory to God Almighty who heard our prayers and agony that sent a compassionate, a philanthropic and sympathetic man who took the bull by the horn, cried to the president, who is a great listener, instructed the Minister of Works to come to the aid of Senator Okpebholo.
In no distant time, BUA Cement Company was moved to the Ekpoma site of the road. It is a laughing stock to see the state government wanting to take the glory for what could not do for almost 8 good years that he has been ruling us not minding what Edo people have been passing through on the impassable road.
Now that someone has risen to the occasion to help the masses, they are tumbling on each other claiming the glory.
Edo state people are grateful to Akpakomiza for coming to the rescue in the rehabilitation of the Benin Ekpoma road.
We assure you of our unflinching support and vote during the September Governorship election.
We are now wiser. Edo people need a listening and a considerate leader who feels the pulse of the people which Akpakomiza of APC stands for. Obaseki and his godson, Asue Ighodalo should go and rest.
