Edo guber: NNPP Aspirant dragged Azemhe, party, INEC to court

A Governorship aspirant under the platform of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP),  Mr Peter Okoeguale has dragged Pastor Azemhe Azena, New Nigeria Peoples Party and the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC before A Federal High Court holding in Benin city. 
                     
Mr Peter Okoeguale in a suit he filed through his counsel Daniel Noah Osa-Ogbegie Esq  prayed the court for a declaration that the purported nomination of Mr Azemhe Azena as the candidate of NNPP for the forthcoming Governorship election of 21st September, 2024 in Edo is invalid, wrongful, and unconstitutional as it contravene the provisions of the electoral Act 2022.

Daniel Noah Osa- Ogbegie Esq is also praying the court for an order declaring the plaintiff Mr Peter Okoeguale as the candidate of NNPP for the Governorship election of 21st September, 2024 in Edo State.
                        
He further prayed the court to nullify the nomination and return of pastor Azemhe Azena as the candidate of NNPP in the Governorship election billed for the 21st September, 2024 and the sum of ten million naira as general damages against Azemhe Azena and the New Nigeria Peoples Party NNPP.

14 out of the 18 local government chapters of Edo state NNPP have thrown their weight behind the Mr Peter Okoeguale 's legal action to reclaim his mandate.
