Dr. Asuen Ighodalo, A Passion To Excel In Governance, Says- Zaks

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in ward 7, Oredo Local Government Area of Edo State, and Managing Director, Zaks Bulls Enterprises, Mr. Zaks Ali, has discribed the frontline governorship aspirant of the party, Dr. Asue Ighodalo as a passion to excel in governance ahead of the party's primaries which comes up today at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City.

According to the PDP leader, Nation fails not because they are coursed or created to fail nations fail because of the failure of leadership 

Mr. Zak's Ali said in a democracy, the assurance of good governance does not derive its efficacy from soapbox rhetorics and promises that are benefit of clarity of focus.

He said leaders who are committed to doing the right things to give the people a new lease of life are rare to find.

"Such leaders are driven by a passion for excellence in everything they set out to do".

"Happily, the sun is rising and emerging Dr. Asuen Ighodalo is on a mission to reset Edo with new ideas that would open a new chapter of fulfilled hopes and pubic expectations".

"Dr. Asuen motivation for politics derives from a desire to conduct public affairs and transparently manage public resources, free from abuse and corruption, for the maximization of public welfare and happiness of all".

In driving his promises , he will build a strong reputation of visibility in transparency and accountability and excellence.

His PEOPLE FIRST mantra-- a sacred political creed, underscores his desire to build broad based consensus from diversity of  interests-- thereby strengthening the bond of Edo common history.

No section of the State will be left out in his development plans and execution.

Let us therefore nominate and support Dr. Asuen Ighodalo For Edo 2024 Governorship election.

Stop proposed Caretaker Committee inauguration, Edo assembly tells NLC president

By  Elvis Omoregie, Benin  Edo State House of Assembly yesterday passed a resolution calling on the President of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Comrade Joe Ajaero, to shelve the proposed leadership change of the present NLC Exco in Edo State.  The resolution which a motion raised by the Majority leader, Hon. Jonathan Ibhamawu following reports of a planned inauguration of a caretaker committee in the state. Presenting the motion Hon. Ologbo Traditional Leadership: Chief Iyase Rejects Purported Installation of Olare-Aja

By Elvis Omoregie  The Okao Nore-Guae overseeing Ologbo, Ehor and Okhuoromi communities in Edo State, Chief Emma Iyase, has warned against what he described as efforts to establish a parallel traditional authority in Ologbo, rejecting the reported installation of Pa Johnson Obubu Itoto as the Olare-Aja of the community. Speaking on the development, Chief Iyase said the installation, reportedly carried out on May 30, 2026, was unknown to Benin customs and traditions and constituted a violation of the recognized traditional authority structure of the Benin Kingdom.
