Obaseki Appoints former Legislative aid to Senator Francis Alimikhena As SSA

Governor of Edo State, Mr Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki, has appointed a former legislative aid to Senator Francis Alimikhena, and former secretary to Akokoedo local government Hon. Taiwo Ojo Solomon popularly known as Solomon Taiwo, as Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the governor of Edo state.
Speaking with journalists in Benin City on his appointment, an elated Taiwo said his appointment is in recognition of his track record and contributions towards the party and services to the state.
The appointment letter which dated 18th day of December, 2023 signed by Secretary to the State Government, Osarodion Ogie, Esq stated that the remuneration attached to the post is as provided for in the relevant regulations currently in force in Edo State Public Service.

“I write to inform you that the Governor of Edo State, His Excellency, Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki has approved the appointment as Senior Special Assistant to the Governor with effect from December 18, 2023.
“The remuneration attached to the post is as provided for in the relevant regulations currently in force in Edo State Public Service.
According to him, he was a former Secretary to Akokoedo local government between 2003 to 2004, former Supervisory Councillor for Finance, Supervisory Councillor for agriculture, former Transport Manager Akokoedo transport service, former Principal Secretary to former Minister of Works for State, Engr. Chris Ogiemwonyi etc.
In his words, "I have just been offered an appointment by the governor of Edo state to served as Senior Special Assistant to the governor my appointment is in recognition of my track record and contributions towards the party and services to the state".
