BND Calls For Unity Among Benin Worldwide
By Elvis Omoregie
A social cultural and economic Group also known as Benin Nation Development (BND) yesterday, called on all sons and daughters of the Benin race to imbibe love, unity and oneness among themselves worldwide.
The group said the Benin Nation today, cannot say that, all is well with them as a People considering their relevance/influence in the current socio-economic and political dispensation in Nigeria and even beyond.
The group, therefore, said that there is an urgent need for all Benin hands to be on deck and join the Benin Nation Development (BND) in the onerous task of bringing about a change/transformation in the narrative concerning the Great Benin race in the above mentioned areas of their National Life (Ghe)
In a statement by the public relations officer, Owens Osarumwense, the leadership and members of Benin Nation Development (BND), said, he wishes to use the medium to encourage Benin worldwide, on the importance of unity among anywhere they find themselves.
"As a people, our greatness and development cannot be detached from our unshakable, unwavering and unalloyed commitment to the peace and progress of our people.
"There is no better time to come together, than now in the quest for a common purpose, relevance and active participation in the scheme of things in our state and nation .
"Benin kingdom was built and expanded by the efforts of our forebears through unity and commitment to a common cause in pursuit of greatness and the common good of all. efforts which resulted in the indisputable respect accorded to us as a people.
"All Benin descendants are enjoined to cleave together in true brotherhood and look out for the good and progress of each other with utmost sincerity-"Owa omwan aro ne amen rro yi".
"Let's honour, strengthen and uphold the true Benin brotherhood as one and indivisible entity.
"We must love and strive to be selfless and be there for one another, watching each other's back, always ready and at alert to assist each other, even if it means going the extra mile.
Unity is strength and power to us all, while disunity and individualism weakens us and robs us of our collective greatness and development as a people.
"Oba Ghato Kpere, Ise!", Osarumwense
