Orhionmwon Council is on its way to good governance - SA Okunbor
The newly appointed Special Adviser (SA) to the Chairman of Orhionmwon Local Government Area of Edo State, Mr Jonathan Okunbor, has commended the current LGA administration led by Deacon Newman Ugiagbe, as he appoint two “Abudina” as Secretary and Special Adviser.
Speaking with our correspondent, Okunbor, who was elated at Abudu’s political recognition, said the council chairman Deacon Newman Ugiagbe, as the one who changed the narrative, did something that has never been done since the founding of the LGA.
According to him, this is the first time that Abudu, as Head of the Council Secretariat, has come close to power at the LGA level and this is the beginning of a new era to change the situation and we believe Abudu will develop further As a location.
“What is happening now is very surprising, the secretary, Barr Charles Aideyan and myself as special adviser is from the council headquarters. It has never happened before.
While highlighting the plan of action to be implemented by the council boss, Okunbor noted that, Orhionmwon indigens should braze up for more benefits of good governance believing that Newman is ready to turn things around and will place the council on world map.
“The council chairman, Newman Oghomwen Ugiagbe has broken the age long ‘abandonment’ of the council headquarters. Abudu is getting it right, matching forward and ready for deliverables. First time ‘Abudian’ are appointed Secretary and Special Adviser respectively he added.
