"My name is Maxwell Amen Iyamu. It happened to me, being the president of this organization as you can see, Legends of Textile Mill Road Association Worldwide, I actually grew up in this environment. I was born in this environment.
"So it happened for us to have our other childhood friends around, some are in diaspora while some are in other parts of the country. They see it that there's need to give back to the society expecially were we came from.
"I actually grew up along this street. Each time I come around, I would have been thinking what we can do to see how we can help the youths and women of this environment.
"Last December, we put something together and we went to orphanage homes around this place were we gave them what we were able to put together for them. So, we also said this time around, let us see how we can engaged our youths.
"We are having the mind that after this training the serious once among them will be giving start pack and many other things, this is a secret I'm letting out here today despite the fact that the economy is somehow at this moment, we prefer to still give people skills than put food on their tables".
Some of the participants at the training commended the organizer's of the workshop for giving them such opportunity at this time to learn for free and urged them to see how they can empower some of the beneficiaries to start up something.
